Campus Beauty
Beautiful

Stevens sits on a bluff in Hoboken overlooking the Manhattan skyline, giving students easy NYC access that most tech schools can only dream of. About 37% of undergrads go Greek, making fraternities and sororities visible but not dominant. The engineering-heavy student body creates a studious weekday culture, but Hoboken's bar scene and the PATH train to the city keep weekends lively.

A compact hilltop campus in Hoboken with jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline across the Hudson River, a unique setting that elevates otherwise standard institutional buildings into something memorable.

Insider Tips
Go directly to Castle Point Lookout for the most spectacular unobstructed view of the Manhattan skyline from any college campus in America. Free binoculars are available. Visit at sunset for an unforgettable experience.
Walk along Frank Sinatra Drive (yes, Sinatra was born in Hoboken) from campus south along the Hudson River -- it's the favorite jogging route of students and locals, with the NYC skyline as your backdrop the entire way.
The site where the first recorded modern baseball game was played (June 19, 1846) is on what is now Stevens' campus -- the Knickerbocker Club faced the New York Nine on Col. Stevens' fields. A plaque marks the spot.
Walk down Washington Street for Hoboken's legendary Italian delis and the annual MutzFest (fresh mozzarella festival). The Mile Square City scores 95/100 on Walk Score and packs incredible food into a tiny footprint.
Best Time to Visit

September-November for clear skyline views and active campus. April-May is also excellent. Visit Days provide the most structured experience. The NYC skyline is stunning year-round, but fall evenings are unbeatable.

Getting There

On-campus parking requires advance permit from your host -- no guaranteed visitor spots. Use Hoboken's municipal garages instead ($2-5/hr). Best option: take the PATH train from Manhattan (33rd St, 14th St, or Christopher St stations) to Hoboken Terminal, then walk 10-15 minutes north to campus. NJ Transit buses and ferries also serve Hoboken. Newark Liberty (EWR) is 20 minutes by car.
