v2.0.0Smarter Career MatchingAugust 2, 2026
  • Your career matches are more distinctive. A handful of "fits everyone" careers used to crowd into almost every report — Interior Designer alone showed up in more than half of them. The matcher now corrects for that, so your results describe you rather than the average person.
  • Match percentages mean more. The gap between your top match and your tenth used to be about 5 points, which told you almost nothing. It’s roughly double that now, and genuinely strong matches read higher.
  • Having a talent a job doesn’t need no longer counts against you. If you’re musical, athletic, or drawn to the outdoors, that used to quietly lower your score for every career that doesn’t use it.
  • Re-checked the personality profile of all 172 careers against occupational data — how much discipline each job really demands, and how much pressure it carries day to day. 115 careers were corrected.
  • Corrected the Veterinarian profile after feedback from a working vet: it now reflects how structured and oversight-heavy the job actually is.
  • Everyone’s results have been recalculated. Some people’s top career has changed.
v1.11.1Signup Abuse ProtectionJuly 7, 2026
  • Strengthened signup protections to block automated spam registrations.
v1.11.0Career Salary RefreshMay 25, 2026
  • Re-audited salary ranges for all 172 careers against the latest 2026 Bureau of Labor Statistics and industry data — both starting pay and top-end earnings are now current.
  • Made the "top of the ladder" more honest for star-driven fields (pro athlete, actor, musician, producer, content creator): the ceiling now reflects what a genuinely successful working professional earns, with the rare megastar payday noted for context instead of shown as the norm.
  • Relabeled the peak job title for many careers to a real, reachable role — for example, several "VP" ceilings are now the senior expert position they actually represent.
  • Recalculated how rare each career's top end is, so the "percent who reach it" figures match real workforce numbers.
v1.10.0May 2026 RefreshMay 12, 2026
  • Refreshed AI risk reasoning and sources for 12 careers (software engineer, paralegal, attorney, accountant, translator/interpreter, graphic designer, physician, journalist, actor, registered nurse, financial analyst, nurse practitioner/PA) with the latest 2025–2026 evidence
  • Raised the AI risk score for Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant from 1 to 2 — now matches the physician and RN tier, since NP/PAs share the same ambient-scribe and clinical-decision-support exposure
v1.9.0College Explorer ExpansionApril 20, 2026
  • 9 new colleges added to the College Explorer, bringing the total to 161: University of San Diego, Smith College, Vassar, Barnard, Trinity University (San Antonio), Trinity College (Hartford), Baruch, University of Oklahoma, and Cal State Long Beach
  • Expanded our inclusion criteria to better match what students actually apply to — a college now qualifies if it ranks top-150 in US News National, top-50 in US News Liberal Arts, or top-100 in Forbes or Niche
