Campus Beauty
Attractive

Fort Collins regularly ranks among America's best college towns, and CSU students take full advantage — the craft brewery scene, outdoor recreation, and Old Town nightlife create a social ecosystem that doesn't depend on Greek life (~10% participate). The vibe is friendly, outdoorsy, and laid-back, with tailgating and mountain weekends defining the culture more than any fraternity.

The Oval, a broad tree-lined central green, gives the campus a classic feel with views of the Rocky Mountain foothills from Fort Collins. A mix of older sandstone buildings and modern additions is well-maintained but architecturally uneven.

Hike the 'A' on the foothills above campus -- this trail celebrates CSU's Aggie roots and rewards you with panoramic views of Horsetooth Reservoir, campus, and the town of Fort Collins.
Find the giant Campbell's Soup Can on campus -- created by CSU students under Andy Warhol's direction in 1981, which he signed in person. It's a unique piece of pop art history that many visitors walk right past
Visit the Annual Flower Trial Garden (free, open daily May-September), one of the most beautiful spots in Fort Collins, plus the Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising for free rotating exhibitions.
Walk or bike to Old Town Fort Collins, the inspiration for Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A., for craft breweries (Fort Collins is 'the Napa Valley of beer'), restaurants, and local shops.
Best Time to Visit

September through October when the Flower Trial Garden is still blooming, foliage turns golden, and students are on campus with football energy. Spring (April-May) is also excellent. Fort Collins has 300+ days of sunshine. Avoid late November-February when it's cold, though the campus stays beautiful with mountain backdrops.
