Campus Beauty
Attractive

Lafayette's social life orbits around Greek organizations and athletics more than most schools its size — about 30% of students go Greek, and the Rivalry with Lehigh is a genuine cultural touchstone. Engineering students face notably heavier workloads than their liberal arts peers, and the school has been building LLC alternatives to dilute Greek dominance.

Hilltop campus in Easton with pleasant stone and brick buildings and nice views of the Lehigh Valley. Attractive and well-kept but compact, without the dramatic natural setting or architectural grandeur of top-tier campuses.

Insider Tips
Walk through Colton Chapel, a striking 1916 Beaux-Arts building, and Pardee Hall (1873), the oldest building on campus with its original exterior intact -- together they tell Lafayette's architectural story.
Head downhill to the Easton Public Market, rated the #1 public market in the U.S. by USA Today, for local food vendors and artisanal goods under one roof.
Visit the Easton Farmers' Market in Centre Square -- it's the oldest continuously running open-air market in America (since 1752) and runs on Saturdays May through December.
Walk across the free bridge to Phillipsburg, NJ for river views, or explore the Karl Stirner Arts Trail along the Bushkill Creek for a scenic 2-mile walk right from campus.
Best Time to Visit

Spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) are ideal -- the hilltop campus overlooking the Delaware River and Lehigh Valley is gorgeous in mild weather. Visit during Rivalry Week before the Lafayette-Lehigh football game for peak energy. Avoid winter break and mid-summer.
